The love lest of Alain Delon and Romy Schneider

Paris Ouest Sotheby's International Realty invites you into "The Love Nest of Alain Delon and Romy Schneider."

A legendary couple from French cinema

The love story of Alain Delon and Romy Schneider resonates as a symbol of the 1960s, a time when the two French cinema legends were at the peak of their careers and their love. Their meeting on the set of the film "Christine" in 1958 was the starting point of a passionate romance. Despite their contrasting personalities - Romy, the lively Austrian actress, and Alain, the charming young man with impeccable style - their connection was undeniable. They decided to settle down together in a triplex located in the west of Paris, a place steeped in romance, perched above the Seine and near Balzac's house. This Parisian gem was marketed by Paris Ouest Sotheby's International Realty in 2012.

In 2019, during a documentary for Canal +, Alain Delon opened the doors to his privacy, revealing touching memories of his relationship with Romy. Among the many objects that testify to their history, Romy Schneider's books hold a special place in Delon's heart, reflecting his sorrow and timeless love for the late actress. Photographs and anecdotes recall the highlights of their relationship, including their red carpet appearances at Cannes, an event that Alain describes as the most beautiful day of his life.

An exceptional triplex overlooking the Eiffel Tower

Alain Delon's apartment, located at 42 Avenue du Président-Kennedy, is a true architectural gem. This spacious triplex, imbued with Art Deco influences, offers breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower from its multiple terraces. With six bedrooms, as many bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a gym, a sauna, and a steam room, this luxurious space was the setting for many moments of happiness shared with Mireille Darc, Alain Delon's later partner. Together, they enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as playing backgammon under the starry Parisian sky.

Alain Delon was not only a master of cinema but also an art enthusiast. His apartment was filled with artistic treasures, including bronze sculptures by Rembrandt Bugatti, reflecting his taste for aesthetics and beauty. When the triplex was put up for sale in 2012 by Paris Ouest Sotheby's International Realty, for a record amount of 46 million euros, it sparked a real craze in the world of luxury real estate, but also in the press, once again confirming the unwavering fascination of the French for the life and loves of Alain Delon.
