Portait : Geoffrey Benoit - Paris Ouest Sotheby's International Realty
RESIDENCES IMMOBILIER
In 1744, the oldest auction house was founded in London. For more than 50 years, Sotheby's has been a great success in the auction business, but also in the prestige real estate market. Geoffrey Benoît, a negotiator at Paris Sotheby's Elysées-Monceau agency for over ten years, tells us the secrets of the company. First of all, he points out that it is the elitist clientele and a family image that has seduced many public figures, from heads of state to the presidents of major industries. Several values set Sotheby's apart from its competitors, first and foremost its honesty and ethics, but also its ability to keep its customers' information confidential and its reassuring transparency. Most of the goods sold by Sotheby's are protected from online sales and are only offered on a case-by-case basis.
Regarding the situation in the luxury real estate market, from May 15 to July 30, Sotheby's International Realty experienced an explosion in demand for apartments with outdoor space, which were selling very quickly. Since the start of the new school year, the market has remained very dynamic, but there have been many disparities. Properties with defects are experiencing a sharp decline in value while those of high quality are generally selling at very high prices and without negotiation. Since December, the return of French and foreign investors has done a lot of good to the high-end real estate market, the house was notably able to record a sale of a property for 19 million euros. Also, Sotheby's has been able to adapt to sanitary conditions and reinvent itself by offering virtual tours or video calls, which has enabled it to maintain an energetic pace in the sales process.
Among these few words from Geoffrey Benoît, we are presented with a property located on Avenue Hoche on the 5th floor of a Haussmann-style building. It also has a spinning balcony overlooking the Sacré-Cœur as well as five bedrooms and a master suite. Then, we discover an apartment of 370m2 bathed in natural light thanks to a large spinning balcony. Also, an oval living room makes it possible to take advantage of this sunshine thanks to its full southern exposure and the view on the place François Ier. The last property is a duplex occupying the first second floor of a private mansion located in the Parc Monceau. With a ceiling height of 4 meters, this apartment of 226 square meters has many exceptional features such as the presence of a cinema, but also an office. Corresponding perfectly to the characteristics of today's market, this duplex also has a spinning balcony overlooking Parc Monceau. All clients wishing to stay in the capital while enjoying a green space can find their happiness in these different luxury properties.
